Dr. Maggie MacDonald graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. She spent her first 9 years in private practice in both Maine and Massachusetts. In 2010 she returned home to Texas and began focusing her work in the shelter and non-profit sectors. Dr. MacDonald performs up to 40 spay and neuter surgeries daily at shelters and non-profit spay/neuter clinics all over the Austin area. Dr. MacDonald offers compassionate home euthanasia in addition to her other work, because she sees a growing desire in Austin to treat our pets humanely and lovingly in their last moments.
Dr. MacDonald loves living in Austin with her cat, George, and her Chihuahuas, Sprout and Gertie. All were wonderful finds at local shelters.
